Luxury new build 4 bed / 3 bath chalet style home
The land was acquired with the benefit of planning permission, we then instructed one of our architects to complete the building regulation approval.
This proved to be one of our toughest builds due to the shape and varying levels of the site with the ground works removing over 80 x 20 ton loads of soil.
In just over 50 weeks we completed this 2,780 square foot 4 bed / 3 bath chalet style home
SOME OF THE TASKS THAT WE SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED DURING THE CONSTRUCTION:
- Clearance of vegetation and small out building sheds
- Protection of a Large Oak Tree which was subject to a TPO (Tree Preservation Order)
- Extensive use of metal shuttering to ensure that the neighbours ground higher ground level remained stable
- Construction of a 400mm thick concrete reinforced retaining wall joining the neighbour’s boundary and the patio garden wall
- As well as the strip foundations we had to excavate 4m deep piles, installing interlocking concrete rings and filling with concrete, then form a concrete ring beam to ensure that the roots to the Oak Tree were protected
- Installation of block and beam floor
- Underfloor heating to the ground floor
- Installation of attic truss roof
- Large open space Kitchen Diner with no structural piers
